Artist History
Soulsquare became an official Band in the year 2000 thanks to strong friendship between 5 musicians who were all living in Sainte-Thérèse, a small region just north of Montreal. These musicians grew up together and have participated in many common projects. The chemistry on stage is apparent when the members of Soulsquare; Max Moranville (lead vocalist and guitarist), Bruno Moranville (guitarist), Pierre-Olivier Papineau (guitarist), Alexandre Lapointe (bassist) and Nicolas Jarret (drummer) come together, always working hard, to accomplish their lifetime dream. Working in many bars and different environments, the Montreal quintet has acquired much experience. Each member brings their knowledge and advice to the band. They have developped a professionalism and have a realistic approach toward the music industry. Aware that they could not bloom by remaining a "cover band", they decided to create their own material. Both Moranville brothers came together and called upon Pierre-Olivier Papineau. Seeing the serious intentions of the brothers convinced him to join them. Alex and Nick then joined the trio to contribute their strong rhythm section. Soulsquare was now one.
Passion and patience brought these musicians together and they embarked on the journey of writing, producing and interpreting their own material. After all the hard work, Soulsquare now presents you a product that has matured and is, above all, an expression of their true feelings.
