O Som e a Dor (The Sound and the Pain in english)
is a new Brazilian Band that plays a powefull
grunge / alternative rock, with lyrics talking
about the problems of the new age, madness,
poor and young people, etc..
They've just recorded their first demo-cd and now they are showing it for whole world. The band line-up: Matusa (bass and vocal), Julio (Guitar and back vocals) and Joel (drums). The most of the people who listen them songs enjoy it, so , hope you like too. They're a new band, and also young(Matusa, the frontman is 16 years old!!). The inspirated lyrics are in portuguese, except Metal Alternoise. Soon they will have more songs avaiable. Go on, They're just waiting for the alternative rockers and grunges to discover them :-)
O Som e a Dor have been touring in their region (Ribeira Valley) in Brazil, and now they are looking for new shows, new bands, new fans, all around the world.

Artist History
Matusa and Julio have played in a lot of bands in their city (Registro - Brazil), so that they started playing togheter in 1999. In 2001 the drummer Roni got out, and Joel got the drums. Their demo-cd has been concluded in May 2001. It contains 4 songs (O Som e a Dor, Cogumina, Centro da Terra and Metal Alternoise). Some of them songs can already be found in Audiogalaxy.
