Artist description
Twenty year old, Amy Melissa, loves Christian music. Go into her
home studio and youll see walls covered with posters of bands like
Delirious?, Crystal Lewis, and All Together Separate. I love listening to
music that inspires me, Amy says, as you can see her inspiration
through her music and lyrics. In sunny Riverside, California is where Amy grew up. She started
playing piano when she was seven years old and writing poetry when
she was eleven. I started writing little worship songs when I was like
thirteen. I have always had the influence to create my own music and I
have always known that this is what God has created me to do.
Writing, singing, and playing is what Amy does, but she also sequences
and records everything on her own. Its so humbling when you see God
actually working through you, Amy says referring to her song Trust
Him, written for a friend that used to be her high school history and
spanish teacher. The song was given to her as a birthday present and
totally related to her circumstances even though they were unknown to
me!. We can trust Him, though we dont see Him. We can love Him. Though we do not see, we can believe Trust Him by Amy.Amy Melissa has a deep love for Christ and desires to share this love
through her music. Her music has a strong sense of worship as well as
some pop melodies. She has performed and will continue to perform at
small venues for now wherever God may lead her. I want to give a
message of love and hope to the lost and glorify and praise God with the
saved.
