ALONG WITH ALL OF THIS WE HAVE WOVEN IN REFLECTIONS ON AMERICAN CULTURE AND LIFE AS WE SEE IT. IT ALSO REFLECTS OF OUR DEVOTION TO HINDU PHILOSOPHY AND MYTHOLOGY.

Artist History KALI'S THUGS is the latest incarnation of EDWARD STAPLETON, founding member of the legendary INDUSTRIAL SYNTHPUNK band NERVOUS GENDER. NERVOUS GENDER was one of the first Industrial bands in Los Angeles (1979). NERVOUS GENDER has appeared with Wall of Voodoo,Psychic TV, Christian Death, Dead Kennedys, and Fear. Now EDWARD has returned with his wife KARENE STAPLETON to create eclectic sound and wordscapes. Together they are creating reflections of the world around them through the prizm of their CELTIC background and devotion to KALI. KARENE STAPLETON, poet/artist, has performed her poetry throughout Southern California. The combination of EDWARD'S sounds and KARENE'S words create pictures and insights into contemporary America.
