Artist description
Tom is truly one of the most gifted and hard working drummer/percussionists working in Nashville today.
He moved to Nashville in 1996 after a successful career in New Orleans which included studying privately
with John Vidacovich and graduating from the prestigious Jazz studies program at the University of New Orleans,
where he studied with Ellis Marsalis, Harold Battiste, Steve Masakowski, David Lee, and Charles Blanq.
Tom has performed with a wide variety of artists and shows a diversity and musical ability that's hard to
find at any level. Working with some of the finest artists the Music City has to offer, including Delicious Blues Stew,
Gene Haffner Trio, Swing Thing, Three Corners, David Bennett, David Frazier, Homemade Water, Michael Ripoll, Steven Hunter
and Blues Other Brothers, Tom has earned a reputation as a top-notch musician and performer.
The same diversity and grace Tom brings to the stage also shines when he steps into the studio. On Tom's latest release,
"off the cuff", he has brought together a group of all-star musicians to create a unique and beautiful album of original material.
In addition to his own recordings, he has also lent his incredible talent to dozens of recording projects in New Orleans and Nashville,
where his ability has made him an "in-demand" studio musician.
