Artist History
the band began as a side project of troy's. he had been producing techno music for a number of years and grew bored with the mainly synthetic sound of the music and wanted to do something more 'spiritual' involving more live instrumentation. also, he grew bored with the singular voice that a one man band is stuck with, so he wanted to work with more musicians.
it sat for a long time without doing anything but making a few demos on which he played all the instruments and hoped to find a band to work with. finally after troy had long since forgotten about the band, he started a darkwave band called 'shard' with garrette hall, a keyboardist. they enlisted rose mccann as the vocalist for shard, and when shard finally
fell apart for good, troy and rose continued working together as 'the higher the fewer' and attempted to create the original concept for that band. they went through many band members (drummers, bassists, keyboardists, violin, mandolin, hand percussion, etc. etc..) before finally settling on the format they are in now. they have plans to involve more live musicians
eventually, if and when compatible musicians should prove to exist. (: |
