Artist History
The beginnings of Psychonaut 75 are within the underground black ambient industrial band, Valefor, whose debut on the Swedish label Cold Meat Industry gained the band a strong amount of respect due to the black and machine like soundscapes of the CD, "Death Magick", released in 1996. Followed up with "Invocation of Forneus" in 1997, Dark Vinyl of Germany issued this cult release which explored dark rhythm and noise together. In 1998 Psychonaut emerged as a side project of Valefor, which recorded "Liber AL vel Legis", Aleister Crowley's "The Book of the Law" to musick. Together with "The Witches Sabbath", Psychonaut produced two albums with a heavy focus on the Magick of Aleister Crowley and occult artist Austin Osman Spare.
In 2001 Dana Dark and Tommie Vain joined with band founder Michael Ford and Davcina to begin a new phase of dark experimentation with the band. Implementing a dark industrial sound which has brought comparisons to Skinny Puppy and Die Form, blending industrial rhythm, noise and human bones into a wave of Sonic Black Magick and Chaotic structure(!). "Stealing the Fire from Heaven" marks the Luciferian Manifestation of this band. What remains with Psychonaut 75 or Valefor is an understanding that each album journey's into different yet extreme areas of musick experimentations. Web Site: www.psychonaut75.com

Press Reviews
PSYCHONAUT 75 - `Stealing The Fire From Heaven` CD (Momento Mori)
New album from PSYCHONAUT (now with 75 after the name), aka VALEFOR. More magickal based recordings – but this time taking a completely different path. Mixing strange mutant sub-techno rhythms and beats ala SKINNY PUPPY, or even early FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, PSYCHONAUT combine an EBM structure with noise, human bones and ambient experiments. Nice artwork.
