Artist History Starting behind prison walls, Gospel One was the ministry on the One Yard of Calipatria State Prison. Re-formed in 1998, one year after Art's release from prison they have been blessed to be invited to numerous churches and special events as well as the continuing ministry work God has called them to. With 3 CDs under their belt and another in the making they have a wealth of material put forth with a quality and excellence that is comparable to many of today's gospel mega stars. Art's professional backround includes having been a staff songwriter for EMI Music for 4 years, amassing a huge catalogue as a secular songwriter. Also as a keyboardist and vocalist he has been the music director co written songs with Lenny Williams (Tower of Power)and Rebbie Jackson.
