Artist History MYTH was conceived in August,2000 by drummer Joe Waltz and bassist Bill Austin. Working as 2 piece, they started working ideas for a demo. They knew they had something good in the works, so Bill contacted former band mate guitarist Chris Dargay. the three-piece ensemble began to rehearse more seriously,but still needed for fuel. Chris inadvertently ran into T.P.,a keyboardist,flautist & vocalist, and much,much more. Things where taking off but there was still something missing. Joe,while helping out another band doing vocals asked violist Katie Mathias to join the band. Now happy with the line-up MYTH began to rehearse for there 3 song demo cd that was recorded in the cold month of December 2000. After the recording MYTH departed ways with T.P.& Katie Mathias in February do to musicial reasons. Now back as a three-piece again the search was on for replacements.In April Bill was jamming with his other band and asked guitarist Dan Carr if he was interisted in joining MYTH as lead guitarist. Still not satisfied with the sound Chris contacted friend Greg Yak. to join on keys in May. With the line-up completed again MYTH plan to rehearse for gigs and a fulllength cd to hopefully be recorded in December again. In November 2001 Joe(SURT) Left the band to concentrae on BLACK TRINITY an old project that was started in 1997.The band is currently working on new material with a new line up.

Press Reviews From Music Extreme #9 What a suprise this demo cd was!! This is melodic black metal directly from the USA,with the use of female vocals,flutes and Viola with a great emphasis on melodies. The first track"Through The Mist of Time" is the slowest track here with the use of female choruses ans a lot of keyboards.In fact, i find interisting the heavy use or keyboards,specialy the track "The Shadow Beyond"(interisting lines at the end of the track. "The Last Feast Of Marketh" is a rythmic instrumental track that opens with the flute playing some medieval-type melody before the band enters playing this heavy rythmic phrase (interesting work or the bassisthere,alla SteveHarris). I wonder ifthis band will get a recording deal soon so we can listen to a full lengh release from them. Keyword:Originality.
