Artist History
Existing in their present line-up from '96 PLEURISY developed a very own Death Metal-style, combining brutality & melody in a way which is refreshing to the metal scene. After 2 demo-tapes, their split-cd "Unholy Spheres" and their promising debut-cd "Experience The Sacrilege" from 2000 they have gained a well-known name in de Dutch metal-scene with excellent reviews and a devastating live-reputation proved by gigs with bands like Cannibal Corpse, Arch Enemy, God Dethroned, Ancient Rites and many, many others...
The new songs written after their "Experience..."-cd are even more brutal using the stunning growls of their new vocalist George Oosthoek (also ORPHANAGE). Convince yourself of PLEURISY's drowning, hypnotising melodies combined with sheer heaviness which give them their originality & class!
The new full-length album "Dazed & Deranged" is now released on Soulreaper Records with a powerful production and great cover artwork from the artist Chad Michael Ward, also known from artwork for Darkane ("Rusted Angel") and Soilwork ("Chainheart Machine")... |
