Artist History
David Norcross started Lucid Dreamer in the mid 1980's. The idea for the band name came from the marquee of a closed down drive in movie.
David cut a few tracks in the studio, with friends and family members providing some backing vocals and instrumentation.
David met Troy Adcox at a burger joint called Beefer's in Grand Prairie through a mutual friend who worked there with Troy.
Troy and David found that they shared one interest, a passion for making music. Troy and David began jamming, and David's friend Jeff Norrod played bass.
After a year or so, Troy's old friend, Jeff Wade, made contact with him, and Troy mentioned to Jeff that he was in a band that might need a bass player.
Jeff W auditioned for the band, and was accepted. The core members of Lucid Dreamer were now set. David Norcross on guitars and lead vocals, Troy Adcox on drums and backing vocals, and Jeff Wade on bass and backing vocals.
There were various personnel changes over the years but the core remained the same.
The band finally gave up the idea of having a second guitarist, because none of the ones they had tried were a good fit.
After a 3 year hiatus, Lucid Dreamer is starting back up strong in 2002. Look for new mp3's soon! |
