Artist History
Lorraine was born in Wales to Irish parents and has lived in Scotland for many years. She started her career in the folk clubs of South Wales, singing in an Irish/Welsh band called Mooncoin whilst still at school. Upon her move to Edinburgh she joined the Irish/Scottish band Malin Head and toured Europe extensively with them for a couple of years, playing in many of the major Folk Festivals. She left the band to pursue her songwriting and her solo career. She has recorded 3 CDs to date, the latest of which is "This Big Feeling", released on her own label. She continues to tour Europe with her band and will soon also be touring in the USA and Canada. Previous members of Lorraine's band have included: Steafan Hannigan (Sin E), Neil Davey (Anam), Niall O Callanain (Deiseal), Mairi Campbell and Tony MacManus. |
