Artist History
The break up of a small local band became the
turning point that led, on August 2000, to the
creation of Anger Turned Inward.
Daz (vocals/guitar) and Robs (drums) find the common
ground that would turn into the main sound of the band.
Seven months later and with more than thirty songs already
composed, the band is still missing members. John, an old
friend of Daz, joins the band taking the lead guitarist position.
Subsequently, “New”, becomes the bass player and final member of
this band.
The mellow/depressive sound found in bands like The Smashing
Pumpkins, Oasis, and Green Day, but that can also be found in
any band or musical style is the source of inspiration and final
product of Anger Turned Inward.
May and August 2001 would be time when the band spends the
most of their time to record material. From the homemade demo
sessions, “Run Away”, “Drive me home,” and “There’s no me
at all,” became tracks. At a studio, “Wake Up” and “New Day”
were also recorded. In addition, other recordings were made during
the band’s rehearsal providing a “live” version of the previous
songs and some other unrecorded material.
“It’s meant to happen” is the title of the band’s promotional
CD carrying all the recorded material to the date.
