Artist History
Tony Kaye was destined for superstardom from the get go.At age 3, he surprized his parents by singing with them. Not only singing with them, but HARMONIZING to them!Tony also picked up the guitar at age 6 and started to teach himself!"My pop taught me a couple chords, and tried to teach me theory, but I was just not interested in theory at that age.My fingers could barely fit around the neck!"Soon enough though, Tony found himself playing on stage with his father's band, wowing the crowd." I think I was 10 or 11 when I could remember every weekend, playing in bars around the circuit.Man, that was fun!"Around the age of 12, Tony had surpassed his father in the guitar department, and was looking to broaden his skills as a musician."I started guitar at 6, bass at 6, piano at around 11, a little banjo, harmonica and drums at around 11, anything I could get my hands on."In his early teens, Tony dabbled in the craft of songwriting. His first REAL song he ever wrote was 'CHARADE',at age 16, which he finally recorded at the ripe old age of 19."I had written alot of material BEFORE that, but this was my first SONG song, if you will..hehe" Now at 22, Tony Kaye is ready for the daunting task that lays ahead."This buisness is funny. When you're making it, you're making it, but when you're not, you're starving...but you know what?I wouldn't change any of it for a second. It's my life, it's who I am.I'm happy!" |
