Artist description
Deep Underbelly prides itself on its unique sound and musical dexterity. Since they started jamming they have had a sound that is very hard to label. In there tunes you can hear some of their influences coming through but their sound is completely their own.
One song will cover a vast musical landscape, they will go from a beautifully heavy riff, into a mellow and meticulously crafted, entrapping chord progression. They try to make songs that can take the listeners on a ride, instead of just having the usual song progression. The band really hates
answering questions about what they sound like, not only because they find labels very limiting. But also because there is really no labels that they find can truely, and accurately describe them. Steve, has come up with the term, "Melodic Ronch", which he thinks most aptly
describes the Deep Underbelly sound.
