Artist History
A true "super group", The Bin Hogs formed in 2001 in order to play the private party of a common friend, Bob "Party" Franks (x-Field of Carrots, x-Purple Crayon, x-Hobbeslobber). Ray Boyce (x-Field of Carrots, x-Returnables, x-M.O.D.E) and Mark Marino (x-Field of Carrots, x-M.O.D.E) flew down from Boston, joining local DC luminaries Doug Boyce (GW University Music Dept, x-Curiously Strong Peppermints, x-Groovetron), Matt Cimino (x-Hobbeslobber), Mike Dandernault (x-Hobbeslobber) and Jonathan Alevy. Once Mike Gray (x-Exit 8) came down from New Jersey, they knew they had something special. Luckily for all of us, this moment was captured on tape, and a CD of their performance is now available from FOC Records. The Bin Hogs hope to perform again in the near future. |
