Artist description
Trenton based Emotional Hardcore:
Recursion is the culmination of five musicians with varied tastes, that share the same passion for music. With influences ranging from hardcore and metal to jazz and electronica, the resulting sound portrays strong emotional content, as well as musical knowledge and integrity.
The four original members (Guitarists Chris Maisto and George Sabatino, drummer Adam Shane, and Vocalist Andrew Chupik) have been performing and writing together for a number of years. Bassist, Mark Miccio, fit flawlessly into the mix only a short while ago, but has already become a fundamental part of the band.
The band started recording it's first album, "Tears Shatter the Reflection", in drummer/producer Adam Shane's studio (The White Light) only six months after forming. Hailing from Hamilton, NJ and ready to take the world by storm, Recursion blends harmony with raw aggression to create unique and lasting songs.
Recently, Recursion has been working to bring their music to a professional forum. Through constant booking and self promotion the band is gaining recognition and a strong local fan base. In hopes to expand their territory, the band is making contacts by word of mouth and through the web to hook hook up with whoever is promoting and wherever shows are happening.
Recursion is highly dedicated to making a career out of the music the live to play, and with no substance abuse problems or inner band turmoil, there is nothing holding them back from making their aspirations a reality.
