Artist description Biography: Jason Lackie is a 27 year old singer/songwriter from Seattle Washington. He plays all-original acoustic music that blends folk, blues, punk, and rock. Jason takes his influence from a wide range of artists such as Chris Cornell, Neil Young, John Lee Hooker, Joe Jackson, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bob Dylan, The Indigo Girls, Andres Segovia, and David Gray. It is from this eclectic and diverse collection of influences that he has derived his own unique style. Jason has been recording and performing live for over ten years. His music has appeared on several radio stations in the Seattle area. He has performed in many Northwest venues such as Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, as well as many other smaller clubs and coffee houses. He is currently developing a strong northwest following and working on putting out two new independent releases. Jason is currently working with Endless Vertigo Music; a Seattle based Promotions Company, to expand his fan base throughout the northwest. Jason is one who believes very strongly in supporting local talent. He has gathered together with a number of great artists to build a grassroots following of fans, friends, musicians, and music lovers in general. Jason Lackie lives to play and record music. This is especially evident in his live show. Very often wielding a harmonica, as well as some percussion instruments, to accompany his guitar and vocal styling. He usually surprises new listeners, and always makes them fans. Jason has a striking ability to create melodies that stick in the listeners head. As Jason is also a guitar teacher, he brings a refreshingly seasoned flair to the art of the guitar. His vocal style is one that ranges from subtle and melodic, to bold and aggressive, sometimes within the same song. Jason looks forward the coming months as he releases his solo Debut, plans a regional tour, and brings his music to new fans across the northwest.
