Artist History
Both from Cincinnati, Pamela Temple and Spencer Funk are rooted in tradtional folk but branch in dirverse directions. Pamela and Spencer met in 1991 but it was a few years before they decided to join forces. Since forming wild carrot in 1997 they have s hared the bill with such internationally known artists as Fairport Convention, Stanley Jordan, Robin and Linda Williams and Bill Morrissey.
They were finalists for the prestigious Kerrville New Folk contest in Kerrville, TX (2000) and winners of the Walnut Valley New Songs Shocase in Winfield, KS (2000). They were named Best Folk Act in Cincinnati in (1999).@ |
