Artist description
No, that's not a picture of us. But we all like Venus, so she'll have to do, at least until we can upload something that's a bit more a propos.
Trocadero makes pretty naked music. Dubbed "Martini rock" by one rock writer, called "transparent music" b y a classical violinist, Trocadero's brand of indie pop combines terse songwriting, unique instrumentation, and plenty of angular male/female harmonies.a |

Artist History
Trocadero is a group that was formed in late '97 by Nico -- no, no, not the dead german super model, the live French non-supermodel. Hailing from Boston, Trocadero performs at the usual sticky-floored venues, with our favorite being the fabulous Lizard Lounge. Last christmas, the band played seven shows in Saint Barths.
Unfortunately, our co-singer/keyboardist left the band for bigger and (hopefully for her) better things. So... if you're a girl, you play violin/viola and/or a bit of keys/piano, like to sing, live in Boston, and believe that two voices can be greater than the sum of their parts, drop us a line. t |
