Artist description P.M.P. Records is a non traditional label created by Joe Pagano of Proteus, Insomnia Orchestra, and Juno Scenario. P.M.P. stands for Pagan Music Productions, which was the name of the label when 500 Proteus/Juno Scenario demo cds were produced in 1999. It was also the name of Joe's recording service. For credibility purposes, the name of the label was changed to P.M.P. Records in 2001. That year the first P.M.P. compilation cd was also created. 1000 cds with 10 bands, each with 2 songs, for a total of 20 songs. The response to this comp was amazing. In 2002 a second compilation was produced, 1000 more cds featuring 20 bands, each with 1 song, for more variety. The response to this comp was even more amazing. Each band asked to be on a compilation has something to offer the world of music, and is believed to have great potential. Many of these bands have either played live with Proteus or Juno Scenario, have been recorded by Joe, or have just crossed the P.M.P. path somehow. In 2002 the side project Insomnia Orchestra also took form, a global experiment defying the rules of a traditional band with vocalists from around the world. The plan for 2003 is to produce 1000 more compilation cds. This time however, the comp will feature only industrial, electro, and/or goth acts to bring the listeners a more cohesive cd. In summary, P.M.P. Records is the home of Proteus, Insomnia Orchestra, and the now retired Juno Scenario. These 3 bands and the yearly compilations are the essence of P.M.P. Records. At this point we do not sign bands and we do not own the music of those that appear on our compilations. Thank you for your interest in P.M.P., and don't forget to support your underground artists!
