Artist History
By Fear I Fall is a 4-piece heavy metal outfit formed in the fall of 2002 at American University in Washington, DC that puts various types of heavy metal music to Gothenberg-style death metal vocals. With Jason Scotti on guitars, Scott Sholder on bass, Boyan Guerdjikov on guitars and lead vocals and Ben Engel on drums, By Fear I fall has the talent and drive to jump into the scene. When Jason Scotti's Staten Island band (aptly named By Fear I Fall) disintegrated with the start of college, it came time for a new lineup. At American University he met Scott Sholder during their first year and connected with the common thread of metal. Two years later they decided that they needed to start a band. After several unsuccessful auditions, Jay contacted Boyan Guerdjikov, who happened to work on campus. He joined the group the next week along with drummer Engel, who was friends with Scott since the beginning of that year. The band is still in its beginning stages, but has recorded a new version of the old Staten Island lineup's track "Walking Blind" and is currently working on the BFIF original "Take me Away," a cover of Amorphis's "Drowned Maid" and several new original tunes. |
