Artist description
As a homegrown Louisiana girl, Wendy Lorraine Colonna comes by her mix of music naturally and her sound is both raw and exciting.
"Listeners will be drawn in by Colonna's sultry, soulful voice as well as her poetic lyrics. . . In an era bombarded by teenage bubble gum pop, it is refreshing to see the emergence of a mature singer/songwriter as Colonna. . . It is arguably one of the best albums that you haven't heard this year!" -Tony Lee, LCAP
"Her [Colonna's] subtle, melting vocals bend and stretch . . . much like a gymnast performing gracefully on a balance beam . . .In lyrics or in melodies, Colonna appears equally versatile." - Dan Wilging, Offbeat |

Artist History
Wendy Lorraine Colonna was born and raised amongst the high petrochemical stacks and knobby cypress knees of southwest Louisiana. Wendy began playing folk songs and punk rock ballads for her friends around campfires, on porches and living room floors.
At 16 she was introduced to another young singer/songwriter/guitarist, Hannah Vincent, and the two began instantly collaborating.
Two years laer, Wendy and Hannah were discovered playing a Jazz Festival and were invited to record a live CD of their work. The show was such a success that TP Record Executive, Perry Sanders, signed them immediately.
In 1997, Colonna began recording Girls of Stone but due to plans to spend the next year in the Netherlands, she had to postpone the completion of the record several months.
In August 2000, Colonna's debut album, "Girls of Stone" was released by TP Records. Currently, Wendy lives in Austin and plays regional tours of Texas and Louisiana.
