Artist History
Paul LaPlaca has a long history in musical
performance, production and sound engineering.
Paul is a two time first place winner in Western
New York's Hottest Guitarist Competition and
a proud endorsee of Jackson Guitars,
Marshall Amplifiers and Korg products. For several
years, Paul was a member of some of Buffalo's most
respected and award winning bands until moving to
New York City where he first played with underground
noise legend, Von LMO and then Brooklyn's own
October Thorns. With Thorns Paul has played several
of the biggest American music festivals including
4 Metalfests, 2 Powermad performances and the first
Savacon convention. They also opened for In Flames,
Moonspell, Arch Enemy, Planet X, Nevermore, Symphony X,
Opeth, Angel Dust and several others.
This project is a series of demos that were
recorded a few years before Paul joined October
Thorns in 1999.
The majority of these songs with the exception of
one or two were recorded as a "one-man band", all
instruments and vocals contributed by Paul. |
