Artist History
Wireless was formed in 1992 by Art Thompson, former songwriter/guitarist of the New York funk-metal band Heads Up. Tom Schmidt, avant garde jazz composer and then-drummer for the Greek fusion band Annabouboula, was recruited to play drums. The enigmatic "Fatty" came from the seminal Zeppelin tribute band, Stairway to Heaven to finish off the power trio on Bass, but quickly left after recording these tracks and was never seen or heard from again. Paul Fogel joined the band shortly thereafter and took up bass duties for the band's live performances which inluded CBGB's and the Knitting Factory in New York City. |
