Artist description
Winter are an original rock quartet from Perth,
Australia which have been influenced by blues,
music from the sixties, indian music and funk to
give the band a wide appeal. The band is also
heavily involved in multimedia arts events giving
the band an ambient and atmospheric appeal.

Artist History
1996 - Formed in 1996 out of the band Doom Ensemble
1997 - Played extensively and formed the Black
Light Lounge Club bringing together artists and
musicians and released earlier Doom Ensemble
material in the CD Northbridge the Tunnel
1998 - Participated in the Art Rage Festival in Perth
and released the CD Introspection.
1999 - Working on a second CD Memphis and a video
clip and planning trip to Prague in the Czech Republic,
Europe. |

Group Members
Winter are Keith Anthonisz, Warren Hillman,
Howard Shawcross, and Danny Searle.
Keith Anthonisz is the rhythm guitarist and a
singer/song writer known for forming the band Open Wound.
Warren Hillman plays bongos, tabla, percussion and
drums and performs with a number of other innovative
Perth bands including Beamer and Friends of Brian.
Howard Shawcross plays bass guitar and has played
with a number of prominent Perth bands including
the Hepset, the Jackals and the Elks who appeared
on Count Down.
Danny Searle is the lead guitarist and a
singer/song writer and is also active in the band
Blesh.
