Artist History Getting their start in Normal, IL, The Last Vegas spent 2 years traveling the US DIY style, burning thru 2 vans and 2 longtime band members, all while gaining a reputation has a hard working, hard livin' bona fide rock'n'roll band, who had in the process amassed a nation-wide cult following. After moving to Chicago in the fall of 2001 The Last Vegas landed numerous opening slots for cutting-edge national touring bands including Bad Wizard, Nashville Pussy,The Cherry Valence, Rev. Horton Heat, Dick Dale, Mike Watt, Alabama Thunderpussy, and many others. The Last Vegas hell bent on kicking ass across town, and after a particular show, were offered the opportunity to record a demo (of which tracks became the first full-length album) at Volume Studios in Wicker Park, under direction of Sanford Parker. The CD was immediately picked up by Get Hip Records in Pittsburgh, PA, and The Last Vegas were offered their first recording contract. The New CD, titled "Lick 'Em & Leave 'Em", will be released in November 10, 2003 on Get Hip Records, and will be followed by a 1-2 month US national tour in support of the album. A 3-week European tour will follow in 2004, followed by the release of the 2nd Last Vegas album come summer 2004. The Last Vegas have played/toured with acts such as Dick Dale, Alabama Thunderpussy, Mike Watt, Drunk Horse, All Night, Rev. Horton Heat, Bad Wizard, Southern Culture on the Skids, The Detroit Cobras, All Night, Local H, The Woggles, Nashville Pussy, RPG, Soledad Brothers, Dragstrip Syndicate, The Gaza Strippers, The Cynics, Five Horse Johnson, Tummler, The Forty-Fives, Halfway To Gone, The Greenhornes, Dixie Witch, The Steepwater Band, The Von Bondies, The Cherry Valence, Dixie Witch, Suplecs, The Blackouts, Bible of the Devil, The Witches, Swinging Neckbreakers, The Mistreaters, Buzzsawyer, The Gadjits, Unknown Hinson, Swampass, Wesley Willis, Drive By Truckers and more...
