Artist description
A group of smart-ass, clean-cut, weird kids. We’re friends from high school, we have very little ambition, a lot of fun, and we enjoy making music. As for the music, it’s Nate Dog style. Nate Dog style fits somewhere between power pop, punk pop, ska pop, 60s rock, indie, nerd rock, and thrash metal. I couldn’t tell you where. Brad Thoen of Grubby Ernie described us as “Weezer getting raped by Bone Thugs ‘N Harmony,” and that’s probably as close as you’re going to get. |

Artist History
The PE All-Stars, in its larval stage, emerged onto the local music scene in 1998. Thanks to help from other bands, energetic songs, and silly high jinks, the All-Stars won a small following, played many shows in the area, and recorded a demo CD, which was never widely distributed. Y2K saw the demise of the PE All-Stars, but after a year, the wounds healed. Now (mostly) graduated from high school, PE has returned for 2001, placing a new emphasis on quality and variety. |
