Artist description
Misty is, shall we say, "a one woman band." She is a 23 year-old from isolated Hawaii. She is also based in Massachusetts most of the year. Her music has many influences, mainly emo and indie alternative groups. Though, trying for an emo sound, it comes out in a bunch of different styles. |

Artist History
Misty started out picking up a guitar in 7th grade. After fumbling around with the instrument, she learned how to play it. She then started out with her first band --- a hardcore/death metal group named Bad Karma who opened up for Bikini Kill and also caught the attention of bands like Reel Big Fish. Bad Karma also played with acts (although, odd and bizarre for their genre) such as Monica, Deborah Cox and 3T. Misty then went solo in '96 to do a metal/industrial EP under the name "PANG." In '98 she released her mope/indie/alt rock CD entitled "Emptiness Remains," which was recorded in Boston by Joe Turner (the drummer of the Boston based band ABUNAI!). Presently, she is working to get her music across through the internet. Her next project is going into the studio sometime in June 2002 to finish recording a new album. |
