Artist History
John is 46 years old. He has been playing since the age of 8. A graduate of the Berklee College of music, John studied with Mick Goodrick and Pat Metheny. He participated in ensembles and performances with some of today's most noted players such as Bill Frisell and Mike Stern, during those years. He went on to play about 2000 gigs in his career. Going off the road 1990 to raise a family, John is now playing better than ever. This marks a return to his pursuing the art of improvisation. John was recently invited (January 2000) by Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, to rehearse some material for 3 days for a possible collaboration down the road. John thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, stating that there were some "real high moments". Whatever the outcome, it was great fun! |
