Press Reviews
SOund On Sound, July 1999.
Exmolosse
Marcus Labatte is obviously another European fan of SOS.
His rap/funk/R & B offering is well arranged and recorded, with a punchy,
tight sound.
Many of the production ideas are standards but still well executed
for example, the catching of certain vocal phrases using in-tempo digital delay.
The strongest elements in the mixing are the wonderfully sexy soul grooves,
achieved with languid or slinky heavy synth bass lines to suit the mood.
Topped off with a mix of male rap and female soul vocals,
this is great lounge-lizard late-night music.
