Artist History
deviant electronics was born in 1995 when i reached the point of thinking that my music was worth anyone's while listening to...
since then i made a series of 12inch's and and the album Brainwashing is Child's Play, and played live around the world. After Brainwashing I signed to Blueroom and I've got a new album finished and coming soon, called Blunt Instruments, which moves on from the trance sound into uncharted waters |

Press Reviews
Psi Corps (1st 12inch)-----Brighton's finest present this masterpiece. Psy Corps must be one of my favourite tracks. It's very progressive with a solid rhythm and oozing waves of love, add a few break beats for the perfect touch. The perfect morning track and definitely Elaine-friendly. Need I say more... Catacomb (the B side) is just as sweet. 10/10

Brainwashing is Child's Play (album)-----
The debut album from Deviant Electronics features nine experimentally adventurous tracks ranging from the hard trance of 'Viral Spiral', to the ambient dub of 'Phenomenon Anon' and 'Oystadub'. This inspirational album mixes elements from different genres of music producing a hpnotic collection which highlights the diversity and richness of good trance. Even though 'Oxygen Cult' isn't included on this album, it's well worth the investment. 8/10

Viral Spiral / Army of Darkness (12inch) -----
In my endless search for stomping tunes to add to my collection, I came across this little gem of a 12inch from Brighton. Starts off sounding much like any other psychedelic trance track, but made me nudge up the volume firstly when I heard the gorgeous clunk - clunk de - clunk clunk kick, and then had the faders shoved all the way up to 11 when the awesomely groovy bassline came in. The track develops from there, keeping the mood very trancey and psychedelic while being strangely uplifting at the same time.

Remote Viewers (album, recorded as Solar Systems)-----
Another choice succulent audio treat courtesy of the DJ's essential Offworld Record Pool. The Intruder label caters for the more Goa / Eastern style trance enthusiasts and has so far come up with some devastatingly good releases that have been rocking the nation's dance floors of late. Here expert of the field, Ciaran Walsh does the business operating again as Solar Systems on Intruder.
Walsh is known and respected for his work as Deviant Electronics on the Helix imprint. The man has been doing his thing for four years now allowing him plenty of time to fully develop his style of quality trance that draws on several outside influences to create a truly original and innovative sound structure. Elements of drum'n'bass, trip-hop, and deep electronica are all apparent across the eight pieces on offer here. An excellent journey into the diverse. 8/10

More Signs of Life (Blueroom compilation)-----
It’s time to fall in love with music again as Blueroom Americas bring us their latest download of musical information. This is a gorgeous album. This is music as cosmic journey, music as intelligent frequency, music as a visual, tactile entity. A trip into the cosmos with organic beats to keep your feet on the ground but tripped out melodies to take you flying in the stars…. Deviant Electronics “Suspense Hypothesis” is one of my favorites, with fat, spacey beats and a funky, beautifully hypnotic groove….
