Artist History The seeds for Chooch were planted many, many years ago on a playground in Cranford, NJ when Tom and Bob first came across each other. Tom asked Bob if he wanted to play and they haven't stopped since. The two of them spent the next decade or so training themselves to not only play their instruments, but to write songs together and record them. Dan, another Cranford native , came across Bob about 6 years ago and fell in perfectly with what Tom and he had been doing. They had hours and hours of music and no lyrics, and Dan had books and books of lyrics but no music to put them to. In need of a bass player for quite a while, they continued writing and perfecting their sound the best that they could. Then they found the answer was right in front of them all along. Terry, who all three had known most of their lives, had become a very talented multi-instrumentalist but had not yet attempted bass guitar. So in January of 2001, being the good soldier he is, Terry picked up the bass and the circle was completed. Now they have forged their experiences, influences, and energies into an explosive band with a familiar, yet unique sound .
