Artist description
Rik Spann: Started his career in various bands in Nijmegen, the eastpart of the Netherlands. The lyrics he writes for The Resistibles are often very funny and also very profound... when you listen to them fifty times or more. He's a great performer and he plays squash like a horse.Jeroen Blankert: Started playing drums at age 15 in a punkband with his brother. He never fully recovered from this experience but has been developping his style ever since. Quit professional pot smoking years ago!Gerco Aerts: Is a trained jazz- musician although he started, when was just a little boy, playing funk.He now play's his instrument like no one else & also is a very sweet guy! |

Artist History
The band was formed november 1998. Rik and Jeroen had already been playing together for a while and started out playing covers. Then Gerco joined them and the sound of the double bass inmediately lifted things to a different plan. After playing for a year and a half at venues all over the Netherlands, they decided it was time for they’re first album, which they did without interception of a record company. This resulted in this great record 'On the Eastcoast'.The Resistibles are great musicians but despite the fact that they have lots of chops they never get bogged down in showing of. Groovin' hard is they’re first priority. |
