Artist History
Coming together late in the year 1996, Morally Sound was a relatively inexperienced bunch. Of this trio's members, only one had ever been in the studio, and only two were even familiar with Metal music. But as the band learned they persevered. The band has many accomplishments so far in their career. Some examples are: Winning the 1998 Garage Band Wars in Saskatoon, releasing a full length CD that sold over a thousand copies, performing on many television shows, being requested to perform at 2000's Shakin' The Lake with top bands such as Nickelback, Filter, Wide Mouth Mason, Flybanger, Headstones, Big Sugar, and Moist, then winning the 2000 Molson Canadian DV8 band wars earning a slot in front of 12,000 people playing with the likes of Gob, Sloan, and Jet Set Satellite. Winning the 2001 regional Cadbury/C-Plus Talent Search with the winning song, The Wanting, enjoying much airplay on FM radio. The better portion of 2001 saw the departure of longtime bass player Ashley Cameron. Jesse Bauer took over for a short time before Andee Dahlen emerged as the new full-time successor. The band recently completed the mixing and mastering of their upcoming second album release, titled "The Hatred Left Behind", at Turtle Recording studio in Vancouver, BC and have just released it on January 31 2003, and will be giong on tour out East to support it. |
