Artist History
In the early 80's they started out as "The Push"
and had the hits "Gargoyle Friend", "I Hate My
Neighbor" and "Heavy Breather".Then they changed
their name to the "Moslum 5" (with 4 members)
with hits like "I'm Just a Moslum" and "Finding
The Square".Once The Gulf War started up in the
early 90's, the name was just too dangerous.
While Playing in Minnesota at a Duluth bar,
the band from California was heckled for their
Moslum attire, thus convincing them to change
their name.
At last, GINGERBREAD NIGHTMARE, was born!!
The members have shifted around but their songs
still wreak of southern fried California
grungy-like countryish surfy garage type music.
I still can't pinpoint a genre for their music!
I can for each individual song, but when it is
all lumped together, too much comes to mind at
once!
The latest members of this three-some are Zeke:
The musically gifted quiet genius, Randy: A Legend behind the Bass, and Tony: The
Wordsmith that can make some noise behind the
Skins. The cool thing about this band is that
they get along with the ex-band members enough
that if a gig comes up and one of the mainstays
can't make it, the other guys will fill in!
Thats rare! "Dave and Keith have other projects
going, but they always make time!", says Zeke.
