Artist History DJ Troia, a local New Jersian, started out by spinning House music at the young age of 15. His love for House music quickly changed his future course in life, and by the age of 16, Vinny Troia was out spinning house music for local school events and functions. He would play at all the high school parties and even at miscellaneous weddings, as practice for a career path that he was destined to follow. As a closet DJ in the club scene, Troia promoted and did whatever was necessary to get himself into all of the hottest parties, to listen to the hottest DJs, in hopes of bettering himself. At the age of 17, Troia was first introduced to superstar, New York DJ, Rob Corbett. Troia followed DJ Corbett to all of his parties at Limelight, Tunnel and Roxy, to learn all about the music and its industry, and also to network himself to all the right people in the club and music world; with some firsthand help and experience from the man, himself. After a few years of practice, hard work, love and ceaseless devotion, at 18, Vinny Troia received his first guest slot at a small club in New Jersey called Malibu. From there, his career did nothing but escalate. Troia went on to receive guest slots in other NJ clubs, such as Stingrays, Amnesia and Shout. From there, Troia felt that it was time to move away from NJ, and expand himself into the biggest city of the world: New York. Troia started out his New York career by successfully throwing parties at various lounges, such as: Aria, Izzy Bar, Jet Lounge, Liquid, Niva and Vanity. During his stretch of successful lounge parties, Troia was quickly noticed and recruited by Kurfew Entertainment, to spin at the Tunnel. Having established a strong promotional following and a wide network of support, Vinny Troia quickly went from being the side room show, to the main floor wonder. Troia has already received a wide variety of main floor guest slots, at clubs such as Exit, Limelight, Tunnel and the Platinum Nightclub, in Washington, D.C. DJ Troia has also been featured, several times, on various online mix shows, such as: DJCentral.com, Raveworld.net, Thedjlist.com, Nightclubcity.com and Netmix.com-- the world’s leading internet web site, broadcasting dance music mix programming, featuring the world's most sought after DJs. Even with all these things going for him, Troia has not stopped his hard work. His latest debut, www.djtroia.com, and the recent completion of his studio is only the beginning. Troia has already begun shopping his first track and does not plan to stop until he is number 1 in New York, and eventually, the world.
