Artist History
Salvador Dollies Bio:
After nearly giving up on forming a band, Ryan Maurer, guitarist singer/songwriter, received a phone call from a drummer answering his ad. Soon after, Ryan and Jason Wade, the drummer, met at the mall and preceded to Jason's house for a jam session. The two instantly became friends and decided to try and put something together.
During the next few days of rocking out, Jason introduced Ryan to Guy and Tate Hallack.
Guy and Tate liked what they heard and soon after joined the freshly started project. Guy strummed the guitar as well as Tate, however the only other position available was for a bass guitarist. Tate picked up the bass guitar pretty quick-like and the four automatically clicked, pounding out song after song. Everyone contributed to the songwriting and after a few weeks they had a total of six songs written as well as a few on the back burner.
The songs mostly were catchy with lots of guitar hooks and guy/girl vocal harmonies. Dynamics was the one thing on everyones mind.
A few more weeks into the band thing, they decided to record to 4-track. Six songs were recorded in Jason's bedroom. Every song was recorded live in one to two takes, and quickly they were pressed to cd.
Months later the guys and girl went into the studio. There they decided on the name "The Salvador Dollies." They recorded a few new songs and re-recorded a few old ones to create a seven song demo. Unfortunatly, the demo was never completely finished. The band split ways for school and work and everyday crap.
The ex-Salvador Dollies do keep in touch and could possibly reunite. Until then we can just listen and keep out fingers crossed.
Salvador Dollies Fan.
