Artist History Jacob's Lie evolved out of a previous band, Second Essence, that all three members were a part of. While in Second Essence, they performed for local charity events as well as in many smaller, intimate settings and packed coffeehouses. In the spring of 2001, after realizing that the priorities of Brad, Erik and Justin did not match that of Second Essence's fourth member, the three broke off together and formed Jacob's Lie. Now able to aggressively pursue a music career, they are determined to establish themselves as formidable artists in the music world.
