Press Reviews
"Whoa. Whoa again. What the hell was that? Well I'll tell you what the hell that was. That was FourMinuteMile, motherfucker. And they're coming. Okay, enough theatrics. The debut EP from this San Francisco band, I Learned It From Watching You, knocked my ass on the floor. The first song on this EP, "My Name is Disaster", starts off with some jangling guitar riff then explodes into, yes, the rock. Oh and how they rock.
It's hard to believe that this four-song collection was self-released, but it's recorded very professionally, and it sounds great. There's enough originality here to give this band some longevity on the national indie scene, yet it's very accessible from the very first listen. How such a strong sound can come from a four-piece I'll never know, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna give up my review copy of this EP... I was very impressed with the complexity and maturity of the songwriting and especially the guitar parts. I could definitely see this band catching on in the mainstream, but if they did then they'd be the heralds of new and improving taste among the American public.
So snag yourself a copy of I Learned It From Watching You. Or better yet, catch them live. I know I am. That's Four Minute Mile, motherfucker. And they're here."
