Artist description
crassus is my first electronic-music project,
it was founded in 1998. although I even did some
musical experiments on my C64 in the 80s, I was
sure to make "real" electronix once. but I hadnīt
the money to do so. I wanted to make music with
real equipment, because I dislike it to create
sounds only via pc. itīs no fun to do it just by
a mouse ;-). my productions donīt neither
orientate to any current trends nor to become
copies of something like "idols" (cause Iīve none!).
I always try to walk my own ways and I often try
something new. the sound of crassus is somehow a
liīl dark and technical, but thatīs exactly my
intention. Iīm a member of the ebm/industrial-scenes
(where Iīve got some other projects too). I like
to use some ominous samples, often stolen from
horror-films, cause Iīm not walking the way of
"happy-party-lalalaa-music" ;-). although crassus
is my obsession in dance-music I dontīt wanna be
any kind of "happy". just letting my "dark-energies"
flow through crassus......thanx & enjoy....
