Artist History
Chocky grew up in West Texas, playing in musical
groups from the time he was in elementary school.
By the time he was in high school, Chocky was
already a well-known musician and artist,
and was a well-respected guitarist in his
hometown.
He refused to be put in a box musically, so he
studied many various styles.
Therefore, it's no surprise that some of his
major influences span diverse talents such as
the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix,
Phil Keaggy, Al DiMeola, Steve Morse,
Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, and his biggest
hero Stevie Wonder.
Chocky became interested in recording and
production at an early age and was determined
to have his own recording studio.
This CD is a compilation of some of the music
he's written over the past several years.
Amazingly, all the music on this CD was recorded
in his home studio on 4-track analog and then
digitally mastered. He recently upgraded to
an 18-track digital studio, so watch out!
Dave Grier of "Coupla Fat Guys Radio Show" said
this is some of the best guitar work he's heard
in a long time. However, unlike many guitarists,
today, Chocky also plays all the other instruments
on his songs, and sings all the vocals. Also,
very unusual is he writes and performs in
numerous musical genres, crossing over
with ease...truly a talented artist. |
