Artist History
Cartier's Brief Bio
Cartier came up back in forth from Hackensack, NJ and Harlem, NY. He began rhyming at the young age of 11, but it wasn't until the age of 17 that he started to ambitiously put emphasis on his music.
Cartier established $Coming UP$ Entertainment ($CUE$), a production company in 1997 and aggressively began producing, laying down lyrics, and promoting himself in Virginia and North Jersey.
Over the years Cartier has participated in a variety of performances that range from local talent shows to opening up for "big named" artists such as: Ludacris, Outkast, and Jay-Z. Most recently, in November of 2000 Cartier opened up for Carl Thomas and Common at the Hampton University homecoming concert in Virginia. His music appeals to the same consumers that listen to Fabolous, Jadakiss, Jay-Z, Nas, Mob Style, Cash Money, Nelly, etc. His style varies but remains consistent with the latest trends and up-to-date slang of the year. Cartier's song range includes: Dirty South, laid back, West Coast, East Coast hustling themes, and party songs. With the use of catchy tunes, clichés, and slick talking his album "The Many Faces of Cartier" will drop sometime in 2002 on $Coming Up$ Entertainment and will highlight his range of talent.
