Artist History
The Matthew Street Band formed in July of 2000 under the name Shimmer. The project has morphed into several different states. The most well known of these to date is the group consisting of Pat Luce on vocals, Matt Hughes on guitar, Matt Kever on drums, Joe Sirk on bass, Dean Williams on violin, and Dave Ramthum on Saxophone. This group put the name Matthew Street Band in spotlight and gained considerable attention with the release of Matthew Street Band's debut album After The Storm in January 2002. Shortly after the release of the album, the band members parted ways with Matt Hughes to form their own project called 8th Day. For more information on this group, go to 8thday.net. With a album under his belt and a closet full of songs, Matt has set out to form a new Matthew Street Band. In the early stages of development, the new group will be consisting of Matt Hughes on lead vocals and guitar and Jordan Brown on bass guitar. No other new band members have been disclosed at the current time. |
