Artist History
FIRE IN MY SOUL In Memoriam
Mark Douglas Madden. 2/26/67 to 7/24/97
Mark was a musician and sound engineer who played classical, acoustic, electric and bass guitar as well as drums, trumpet and some piano. He played in rock bands in Boston, New Jersey and NYC. Of all the work he did only seven of his original compositions could be found to publish at this time. The music was recorded by Mark in the basement of our home while he was battling against bone cancer. He played acoustic, electric, bass guitar and drums and sang the vocals, one track at a time, then mastered the final product.
This album is dedicated to Mark’s memory; to all of the many friends who loved Mark and his music; to Rebecca; to Janine; to all the doctors, nurses and hospital staff who worked so hard to treat his illness and to his sister Doreen who was a second mother to him, her husband, Kevin who taught him his first rock guitar licks; his brother Steve, whose trumpet playing was an inspiration to Mark and especially to his mother who loved him so and rests beside him today in St. Mary’s. My love to all of you.
Eternally,
Steve Madden Sr.
