    Artist History
Based in Los Angeles, Joe 90 released their debut cd, "Dream This" in Oct. '99 on Adam Duritz's (Counting Crows) record label, E Pluribus Unum. After immediately earning a 3 1/2 Star review from Rolling Stone, Joe 90 took to the road opening for Counting Crows nationwide for four months. Meanwhile the music from "Dream This" brought both the small and big screen to life. In fact, every single track was licensed to either movie or television including: "Party of Five", "Sportsnight", MTV's "The Real World" & "Road Rules", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and more. In December 2000, the band released an "official bootleg" called "A Raccoons Lunch", featuring alternate versions and unreleased tracks, as well as two new songs which appeared in New Line Cinema's "Final Destination" and Miramax's "Boys & Girls". Maintaining their relentless touring schedule, Joe 90 headlined clubs and radio festival shows as well as opening slots for among others, "Lit", "Third Eye Blind", "Semisonic", "Travis" and "The Black Crowes". Joe 90 is currently writing and recording new material for the next release while performing various shows around the country.

    Press Reviews
Rolling Stone Magazine, James Hunter: "Joe 90 used to be God's Child, the band responsible for the tiny rock hits 'Everybody's 1' and 'Need,' a Melrose Place favorite. Re-formed with drummer Adam Hamilton and championed by Counting Crows' Adam Duritz, who signed and recorded them on his own label, the Los Angeles band now comes with an album that's entranced by the spaciness of everyday life. Singer-guitarist Chris Seefried steers along melodically facile, softly yelping rockers like 'Mascara' and 'Drive' -- the album's showstopper -- with velvety imprecision. The latter song erects a personal landscape of shoes and sweaters and automobiles, arriving at something unusual: the moodiness of the material world and how it sets up a thirst for escape. To amplify themes like this, Joe 90 and Duritz have chosen a thick, suffocatingly midrange mix of sounds for Dream This...it works".
