Artist History Born in 1963 in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Pataro has lived in New York City for the past thirteen years. He started performing his own songs when he was eighteen and quickly established himself as an emerging artist, playing on the same stages which often welcome Milton Nascimento. While performing in the theaters of Minas, Pataro developed an interest in classical music and studied guitar, composition, and later the cello. Eventually he was awarded a scholarship to study at Uni-Rio, the State University of Rio de Janeiro, and joined the local Chamber Orchestra. Pataro??s curiosity and desire to explore other styles took him to the U.S., where he began to study and appreciate different types of music from all over the world. ??ˇ|
