Artist History
The Cat Mary is not just an average Chamber Bluegrass Slambient Jazz band. Despite their Chart smashes in Jakarta, they are having trouble breaking into the US top 40. Early hair problems resolved, they came to american soil to soil americans. By 1965, their flambouyant lead zither player, Doug St. Doug, had fallen so deep into his still overpowering obsession with obscure dental photos, the band had kicked out the live textile demonstrations to cut costs. The 70's were good to the Cat Mary, providing them with sundries and condiments. In 1983 a horrifed St. Doug attempted suicide after discovering Boy George had actually had braces to no avail. After his convalesence and a brief stint singing for the Pogues, he came back to the Cat Mary and wrote their biggest hits we still love today including "the plumber, the plumber" and "getting the eraser clap". |

It seems that Hoops jabs his piano & organ, Lissa fiddles, Tao plucks n' bows that big ol' gut fiddle, and the Poet Trapped in a Wrestler's Body is singin' & twangin'. Sho'nuff there are times that Georgie n' Kev hit thangs, and Uncle Joe bow n' mandles. |
