SDL was originaly formed, in Victoria, BC, Canada, by guitarist Dale Collins and Trevor Richardson, the bands front man.
After recording and performing with Uriah Heep lead vocalist / front man; Bernie Shaw in 1996, Collins began writing with Richardson and putting the pieces together to form SDL.

As of Nov. 1st / 2001 the band relocated to a suburb outside of Edmonton,Alberta Canada.
In addition to the move came two new members. One of whom,is not so new. Bassist; Neil Vandyk, has a history with
Collins dating back some 20+ years. The 2 grew up learning and playing music together, including their first TV appearances and out door performances.
