    Artist description
Richie Pierce was born in New York but raised in Central Florida since age 3. Richie, as he is called by family and fans, has always had a dream of becoming a professional singer. He began singing in elementary school Chorus, and has been fascinated ever since. After Richie was married in 1989, he began singing karaoke at local bars and clubs, in which his wife had to practically beg him to get up and sing a song because he was so shy. He started to learn and sing a lot of Garth Brooks songs, and received a lot of great compliments which gave him confidence and encouragement. From this point on, Richie began to look toward Garth as A Mentor. As a Juvenile Detention Officer, for the State of Florida, Richie has enjoyed working with troubled youth for 11 years. He was inspired to work toward his lifelong dream of becoming a professional country music artist in 1998 by a youth that had a dream of becoming a professional baseball player. This gave him the drive that would cause him to have an "I will make it someday," spirit. He began to work on fine tuning his vocals by practicing daily, and began to search for ways to get some exposure. While eating at a small local country style restaurant, Richie noticed that the owner had some plaques on the wall that were awards from the Country Music Association. Richie asked this owner about his awards, and the next thing you know, he had Richie and his wife interested in joining the Florida Country Music Association. He began singing at the F.C.M.A.'s monthly jamborees, and was introduced to a very talented and a respected band called "Marshall Law." The gentleman that helped Richie get into the F.C.M.A. knew Marshall Law band very well, and asked them to let him sit in with them on a song. They were extremely impressed, and would let Richie sit in with them any time he liked. Richie gained valuable stage experience, and learned what it's like to sing with a band. Richie puts his heart and soul into every song that he performs. He is continuously acquiring new fans every time that he sings, and they say it is because they feel exactly what he is feeling through his voice. His goals are to make it big in country music, and go on tour so that he can make more and more people happy through his music. Richie lives to entertain, but gets the most enjoyment from knowing that he can give something of himself to make someone elses life more enjoyable. He also has a goal of one day performing at the "Grand Ole Opry." Richie continues to work on completing his self titled album, "Richie Pierce."
